Absolutely all products that they make are proudly made in the U.S.A! As a matter of fact not only are they made in the U.S.A., but they manufacture their own products. This is almost unheard of from today's society where outsourcing to other companies or countries has become standard to a reduction in quality and price.
Jeff Holland is native to western Kentucky where his passion for hunting and shooting became very apparent at an early age. With plenty of whitetail deer, turkey, and waterfowl to the area he had abundant game to hunt. He grew up in his fathers machine shop which drew it's name from the area where he lived, Pennyrile Machine Co. Inc. It was here that his interest in how things worked and love for engineering began.
Holland studied mechanical engineering at Murray State University and it was during this time that he began making his duck and goose calls. With acrylic calls becoming more popular he sat about making his calls and developing a polishing process that rivaled current calls on the market. He formed his own company Dixie Game Calls and began producing his calls. Traveling the shows and contests he soon learned that most of the other companies were not producing their own acrylic calls. Holland found success in making calls for many other well known companies even though his company was little known. He found it rewarding that the public was buying and using calls that he had designed and made even though it wasn't his companies name on the calls. With Holland producing acrylic calls for other companies he moved in a different direction with his own. He began designing and building turkey and other game calls in addition to his waterfowl calls. Making his custom calls was only natural because it combined the two things that he loved, hunting and engineering.
2010 was a very busy year for Holland. While continuing to server as Vice-President of his father's company, Pennyrile Machine Co., Inc., he founded Folded Wing Outdoors and married his wife, Elizabeth, in October. Over all other achievements in Holland's life he said the day that Elizabeth said yes was his proudest moment. He looks forward to sharing his life with her and is excited to see what the future holds.
